Fingerprint sign-in
No fingerprint is enrolled on this computer yet. Create an account to enroll one finger.
Gentle touch only
Rest your fingertip flat on the sensor with light pressure and lift it after about a second. Do not push down or hold. A firm or held press can trigger your computer's power button.
About the system prompt
Your computer may ask to "save a passkey". That is how the operating system hands your fingerprint to ValidateKey: the print itself never leaves the sensor, only a device-bound key is kept. Approve it to finish the scan.
